Fulfilling the Chief End of Man

Have you ever wondered HOW to fulfill the “Chief end of man . . .?”

Think about it – if “the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever,” HOW can we do this?

Two things continue to amaze me:

We are so cavalier to throw these WHATS around.
2. We so seldom then SEARCH for HOW to do them (and the “professionals” rarely tell us how!)

Yet, the Bible again comes through with the answer – with minimal searching.

One word is most closely associated with “giving glory”/glorifying – again, think, what is it? It is something we can actively do rather than passively wait to happen.

Maybe unexpectedly (it shouldn’t be), it is:

THANKFULNESS

Just as happy people are thankful people and thankful people are happy people:

People thankful to God both glorify Him and are happy!

Thankfulness is powerful!

I will praise God’s name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving. ^{Psalms 69:30}
